The proposal for the new Residence for the elderly in Montmeló search the harmony between functionality and reliability. The program has been resolved prioritizing the home sensation, scaping from the hospitality model. At the ground floor there are the communal areas completely link to the garden. At the first floor there are spacious rooms blended with some communal living and some terraces. The building is set out with a clear volumetry and a constructive system based on prefabricate modules that allows an easy recycling and reuse of materials. This kind of system assist to future extensions depending on the needs of the building.

La
proposta per la nova Residència i Centre de dia a Montmeló cerca l’equilibri
entre funcionalitat i formalitat. Es resol el programa funcional
prioritzant la sensació de llar, defugint el model hospitalari. A la planta
baixa hi trobem les zones comunes de la residència i centre de dia, molt
vinculades al jardí. A la planta primera unes habitacions àmplies amb unes sales
de convivència i unes terrasses intercalades. L’edifici es planteja amb una
volumetria molt clara i un sistema constructiu a base d’uns mòduls prefabricats
que faciliten molt el muntatge, optimitzen els recursos i permeten un fàcil reciclatge
i reutilització dels materials. Aquest sistema també afavoreix futures
ampliacions que pugui necessitar l’edifici per albergar més usuaris.
