We started off from a very small and compartmentalised flat. We decided to remove all partitions, leaving only the flat’s bearing walls which separate the space into three areas. The end zones were converted into two multiple-use rooms, while we used the central area for private use. Leaving an open space in the central volume we achieve a less-bounded residence with crossed visuals, using materials and symmetry to distinguish the different spaces and emphasise its private aspects.
