Sostres es el resultado de una reforma integral en un
piso singular. La vivienda se encuentra en un edificio plurifamiliar que tiene
mucha fachada, de manera que sus viviendas pueden captar mucha luz natural. La distribución
interior inicial compone espacios pequeños y oscuros. La primera decisión es
unir el espacio de sala de estar, comedor y cocina para que este único espacio
tenga ventanas en dos orientaciones y aumente considerablemente su luminosidad.
Recuperamos la medida original de las ventanas del baño y de la cocina que habían
sido recortadas y acortamos el largo pasillo para un mejor funcionamiento de
las circulaciones. Se instalan ventiladores en todas las estancias y la nueva
distribución favorece la ventilación cruzada de manera que, con estas medidas, se
minimiza el consumo energético de la vivienda.

From the XVIII to the XIX century, the riverbanks of the
Anoia housed more than 40 mills used for paper production. To date, some of
those paper mills have been lost, but others still remain. This project aims to
recover and revalue this piece of history. Paper factories used the river water which they stored in
reservoirs and transported via a system of canals to the paper machinery. The proposed itinerary connects the towns of La Pobla de
Claramunt and Les Garrigues following the existing canal layout, which goes
through remarkable locations that allow the visitor to discover the industrial
heritage of the area. The chosen route connects different points of interest
which are repurposed into meeting points, viewpoints, squares or rest stops all
situated along the historic canal.
